David Elliott

David qualified as a chartered accountant in 1989, and post qualification specialized in tax, spending 31 years in the Big 4. This included 18 years with PWC, and 13 years as a partner with KPMG. At KPMG he led their North East tax team, and was also the KPMG Newcastle Office Senior Partner for 4 years prior to retiring in April 2021. He was also a member of the KPMG North leadership team during this period.

David has advised many businesses of different sizes and in industries throughout his career, including many in the Care, Leisure and Property sectors. David is responsible for overseeing the Group’s finance activities, ensuring robust financial governance is place, liaising with external stakeholders, and providing strategic advice to the board on financial matters.
